Instagram accuses of illegally collecting data from tens of millions of users


Facebook's social media application specializing in photos and short videos, Instagram, is facing a new lawsuit accusing it of illegally collecting data from tens of millions of users, an accusation that is not considered new in Facebook's path and the rest of its services.


And the media indicated that a lawsuit in the United States of America and exactly in the city of Redwood in the state of California has been filed against Facebook, accusing its platform of collecting, storing and using information and biometric data for nearly a hundred million users illegally and without knowledge or Prior approval from users.


The new accusation is added to the series of accusations directed against Facebook and its various platforms over the past years of violating the principle of the private life of its users, as only last month, Facebook offered to pay $ 650 million as a settlement for a lawsuit in which it was accused of illegally collecting biometric data from Through the tool for tagging photos provided to Facebook users.


On the other hand, a Facebook spokesperson denied that Facebook, through its Instagram platform, had done so.
